Living Pickles!

These are soooo delicious, and so easy to make!

First, Gather:
1 Jar
Water
Sea Salt (or any natural salt)
1 Large Cucumber (or enough small cucumbers to fill a jar)
1 cabbage leaf
1 stone

Slice enough cucumbers to pack tightly into jar (tiny cucumbers can be left whole).
If the sliced cucumbers have lots of seeds, slice them off to have in a salad!
Pack cucumbers into jar tightly
Add any spices (garlic, dill, peppercorns, etc.)
Fill jar with salt water (1half-tablespoon salt for every 1cup of water)
Be sure the water covers the cucumbers.

Now we make sure the cucumbers stay below the water level:

Press cabbage leaf securely over the top of the cucumbers
Be sure that no air bubbles are under the cabbage leaf or anywhere under the water
Place stone onto cabbage leaf to hold it in place
Be sure the water covers the cabbage leaf completely
Infuse with copious amounts of love
Place lid on jar securely
Place the jar in a bowl or on a tray that will catch liquids
Place the jar&bowl in a warm, dark place

Once per day open the lid of the jar (allowing gas to escape) then close it again

On day 3 or 4 your pickles will be ready for tasting!

(Note: Be sure that your pickles look healthy and successful before consuming! ^-^)

Refrigerate once they're done!
